Extension of TRV

I would like to get some feedback to my situation.

I am a permanent resident. My gf came to canada in Sep 2013. Obviously she can stay until March 2014. We got married in Nov 2013 and we are in the process to start making her papers for the PR.

What is the best way/ reasons to extend her TRV?
