I want to understand, till what stage of Express entry application does the EE profile should be active. For e.g. if I created profile in July 2015 and have received an ITA in Mar next year and I am still waiting for PPR, then my profile would most certainly be expired after July 2016. Would CIC consider my application or it would lapse?

Your profile is locked and remains active once you submit your eAPR. So no, it won't get expired.

You mean Acknowledgement of documents which I have sent after ITA?
Yes. Once you submit you application after receiving an ITA, your profile will not get expired. In fact, if you go check your EE profile in your MyCIC account, you will see the Valid Till field is now blank.

I'm not entirely certain you've understood Aragorn, so I'll clarify.

Your profile becomes locked once you submit your post-ITA application (when you submit all your documents).
It is not when you get AOR (acknowledgement of receipt).
