Entering Canada using a Photocopy of PGWP [Original Sent to OSC for Amendment]

Hello & Good Day,

I graduated from an institution in Toronto and have been awarded a 3 year post graduate work permit. However, the original has my date of birth incorrect. So, I sent it back to the OSC in Ottawa to have it amended. This is taking longer than usual and are asking for more info etc.
In the mean time, I have :
a. my document that states the approval of working in Canad
b. A photocopy of my PGWP with me.

The question being, is it possible for me to use the photocopy to enter into Canada again @ Pearson or Billy Bishop?
Let us say I go back to my home country or some other country, will they be OK if I show them the photocopy and tell them about my predicament?

The mistake was done by CIC and not me [regarding the date of birth].
Can you please advise?

You do not need PGWP to enter Canada.. all you need is valid travel visa.. as long as you have it, you should b allowed to enter.

I also filed an amend to my PGWP because the work location is wrong. They received my application on Aug 16th and it was not completed by Sep. 19th. So my case also exceeded the normal processing time. Could you please tell me how long did you get your new work permit? Any update on your application? Thank you!
