Hi All,

Does an applicant with recent Masters degree from US still need to appear for IELTS?
I am originally from India in US for Masters.

Thanks,
Irfan

To be on the safe side, TAKE IELTS! If your English is as good as you suppose it is, taking the test is duck soup! It might cost some but it is worth it. Otherwise, it is extremely difficult to prove proficiency by written expression if your mother tongue is not english.

You can submit whatever documents you want to prove your English fluency but you will most likely still have to take the IELTS. It is really up to you if you want to take it now or wait until they ask you to do so. However, your processing time will most likely be longer if they ask you to submit your test scores when you haven't taken the test.

Good luck

why risk everything by submitting insufficient proof of english ability?

be on the safe side by taking the IELTS you reduce the risk of rejection and delays.

its is very hard to prove your english skill through written explanation. even if your whole study is in english, but your native language is not english so you need to prove your language skill. only option is IELTS

This question must have been answered numerous times in numerous places over numerous forums. You must have got the answer before you proceeded to question .

The simple answer is: if you are seriously interested in immigrating to Canada, if you aren't a native English speaker, if you claim points from Language area; you must take the IELTS General Test ( Only this)and prove with a decent score.

If not, you have your own wish ,friend !

I can not understand why no body supports TOEFL, what if I have done the TOEFL here in Canada and got a master degree in the field of TESL itself? Isn't this sufficient?
