Employer in Canada wants to contact CEM

Hi Forum members,

I would like to ask if it is possible for my employer in Canada can follow up the status of my working visa in the Canadian Embassy in Manila.

If yes, what will be the process like do they need to call or email and give my UCI and visa number?

I think that they will find it almost impossible to get any information. Under the Privacy Act, CHC can't issue personal information to a third party (i.e. your employer) You give your employer an authorization, but if the work permit is within the published processing times they won't get an answer. Email, with the authorization is about the only way.

Actually, sa akin lang sila nag pa follow up eh. Ask ko sana if there is a way para mag follow up sila sa Embassy. Naiinip na kasi sila.

I see. Same pala tayo ng case. Sa akin lang din sila nagtatanong. Ang sabi ko sa employer na hindi nageentertain si CEM ng employer.

May ibang paraan ang isa nating forum member naghanap ng MP (member of the parliament) sa Canada. Yung employer yata nila may kilala. Yung MP nag follow up sa CEM.
