email from Ottawa to send passport

Hi everyone,
I've got an email from Ottawa about to send the passport for get visa stamp just wondering about passport expiry my passport is going to be expire in 3 months, it should be ok? and also need to know should I have to send any covering letter and the email which I have received from ottawa where says to send the passport, along with the passport?

You don't need a cover letter, but do include a copy of the letter requesting your passport.

The validity SHOULD be OK so long as they stamp and return it quickly. I assume since you are sending it to Ottawa that you are already in Canada so you will need to flagpole to land. They will let you know if you don't have enough validity left on it though. You could email/call them and ask before you send it so you won't have to wait/wonder.
