Processing started: February 21, 2016
Secondary review letter: March 1, 2016
PR card approved: December 19, 2016
PR card sent by mail: December 29, 2016

I hope so. Our timelines are almost identical.

My file was not referred to a local office. It's been processed at PRC Sydney.

Hi,
I read a lot of post under this topic. Here's the timeline of my wife's application.

PR card Application received November 7, 2016
Asked for colour photocopies of entire passport(s) including blank pages: December 5, 2016
Processing delay email December 20, 2016 (this is not mentioned in ecas)

BTW, my wife didn't stay in Canada her entire time, rather she stayed with me out of Country. I'm a Canadian Citizen working out of the country, thus she should be eligible to qualify for PR card renewal. Since there's an exception for that. I think that's the only reason she got Processing delay email.

I called CIC officer today and they said that after receiving Processing delay letter, it could take up to 24 months before they would send us PR card. (They didn't tell me her exact information since I'm not an authorised representative) I'm just worried if they need to interview my wife then she has to be in the country, otherwise I'm not worried if they take another year before mailing PR card since she won't be going back to Canada until 2018. She can travel out of the country without PR card but to return she would need PR card or Travel Document. I don't mind either one. The only thing I'm worried if she would be called for an interview then she has to be in Canada for that.

Now I'm gonna book her ticket because I cannot wait for the unexpected time (1-24months) before she'll get her PR card. Any suggestions or comments.

If they would call for an interview? and
How much more time they'd take before printing PR Card?

Hi Munsour,

Most probably they will not ask for an interview. They may ask for additional information/documents by mail. But I think after approval they will ask her to pick up her PR card from the local office. They often do that with PR applicants who live outside Canada.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 9, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on February 10, 2016.
4. We sent you correspondence on February 12, 2016 (went into SR)
5. Your Permanent Resident card approved on December 10, 2016.
5. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on December 14, 2016.
6. Card received by mail on December 23, 2016

Good luck to those are still waiting & you'll receive yours soon.
