Email from CIC that PR card renewal needs secondary review

Hi,
If you check the following you will notice that they are working on April, 2015 applications and next will be May 2015 applications and many of us are in that batch.

PR card renewal application was received by CIC on APRIL 13, 2015
CIC began processing the application on JUNE 19, 2015
Received email from CIC on JUNE 19, 2015 requesting color copies of passport.
Received email from CIC on OCT 18, 2016 inform that renew card has been issued.
One year and half....I don't know if this is their current process time frame, what I did is to send them request on weekly bases asking for update, and I did send an ATIP request last week (I don't know if that helps with processing time or not?).
Nevertheless, keep trying everyone...
Ya....renewing now days seems takes longer than getting a new one, it's pretty ridicules...and I didn't travel a lot at all, two or maybe three times within five years, and only just crossing to US. I really don't think it's anything to do with our personal applications, it's just IRCC short handed unfortunately.rihaf said:

Last week on Wednesday October 19th I called CIC and the lady officer said the mailed it out .
My timeline
*We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 7, 2015.
*We started processing your application on September 8, 2015.
*We sent you a letter on September 8, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
*Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on October 17, 2016. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.
*Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on October 19, 2016.
If it helps ... My old card expired on October 15 th 2015 ... Mb they just keep you one year after your card expires !!!! Who knows ?!
I maybe the first may applicant to receive the card
Good luck to everyone ... My deepest heart wishes to you all to receive your cards too !
P.s I made no requests or inquires to CIC .. Just maybe 4 calls .. 2 of which to change my address

I became Permanent residence of Canada day I arrived i.e. 13th July 2016.
I will be staying in Canada until December 19th 2016 says about 159 day’s from 13th July 2016 and will return to DUBAI for next 1.5 years 15 months from December 19th 2016 onwards.
My question is as to keep my PR status valid I must stay in Canada for minimum of 2 years out of 5 years. So if I come back in 2018 July will I be able to renew my PR card without any problem or I may be short of 730 days.
My PR card is valid until 2021 August
I understand, if I arrive in 2018 July and then stay back until 2021 I am good to go, please advice
July 13th 2016 –to- 19th December 2016 = days physically present is 159
Now from 2018 July to 2021 August = it will be more than 730 days as per calculator it is 2018=171 days, 2019= 365, 2020=366 & 2021=232 so in total will be 1134 counting from 2018 year and I believe my current stay i.e. from July 13th2016 –to- 19th December 2016 with 159 days will also be counted.
Number of days physically present per calendar year towards my PR renewal will be 1294 days. Please correct me please

Nothing was shown online even on 25th October, 2016
Don’t lose hopes, now they have started processing May 2015 applications.
My timeline
CIC received PR Card application 5th May 2015- 18 months from the date of application received.
Correspondence received from CIC dated 27th August 2015 - secondary review- 15 Months from the date of secondary review.
No documents were requested.
Received my PR Card in mail today-26th October , 2016

Congratulations decent guy as a matter of interest What is the issue and export dates on your new pr card. Because as they took so long to issue the cards do they backdate from when you sent the application in or do they start it from the day they issue it.
