Hello

Here's my timeline:
-On 21 January 2014 I received an email from CIC Mississauga that contains the UCI and application number.
-So today I checked e-CAS, it shows "Application received on 22 January 2014" for both applicant and sponsor. Nothing more.
-Filed two case specific enquiries forms asking why no decision after 40 days. No reply.
-Called CIC hotline. Agents answered from scripts.

I don't understand what's the hold up. Others got their decisions already. I'm the only January 2014 applicant with no decision. I don't even care if I'm approved or not. Just want to know the decision and get on with my life. I think that's too much to ask? My wife and kid need me and there is no time to waste. I'm so sick of CIC hiding shit. Would appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks.

Looking at your other posts, it looks like your whole application is being returned to you because your child should not be on the application (since he already has a right to Canadian citizenship via decent).

Yeah but on 21 January the officer in Mississauga called and told me that he'll process my wife's application and refund my son's $75. That's why I kept waiting for the decision.

ah ok.

Normally sponsor approval happens after a month. But I can see yours getting delayed as they try to sort out the application and modifying it to just include your wife....

I turned my application in during the Month of June. My application still says "Application Received" and nothing else. I have called and they have even emailed me with things that they needed from sponsor ( such as proof she is working in Canada now). These things make me assume my application is in process but nothing changes on the website.

Not to sound harsh but the hold-up is that you made a mistake by including a dependent that doesn't qualify for sponsorship. The posted processing times apply to complete application packages; if an application contains mistakes, it isn't considered complete and the posted time no longer applies.

The only thing you can do is be patient and wait for CIC to sort it out.
