By when should i expect to receive the passport request??

regarding someones post about delay in pre june 2010 cases, I would like to know whether I will be effected by this? will my case (medical done) be delayed by this also.

thanx in advance and I would really want to participate in the April meeting. when is it planned to happen???

I have checked yesterday , British Airways from india will allow the following :

23 kg x 2 = 46 kg ( checked in luggage) per person ONLY FROM INDIA plus hand baggage decent enough to be carried by the passenger himself . From Dubai its ONLY 23 kgs + Hand luggage .

You can carry additional baggage ( limiting to 23 kg ) per bag uptil 10 nos. of baggages per person by paying 32 pounds for 1st additional bag and then 72 pounds from the 2nd additional bags uptil the 10th Bag .

All the above facilities are available ONLY online , same can be done at the Airport but with some more extra charges .

Note : this facility is used by my friends from India and Dubai to Toronto by British Airways successfully .

Welcome MDRs,

It is high time that you should recieve yr MR. Suggest you input all your prime details (NOC, time line etc) in yr profile here in the forum, so that seniors are able to guide you.
Nowadays, March-April-May '10 applicants are receiving their MRs. So you should also receive it anyday. Have you ordered CAIPS yet? Have you sent case specific enquiries to VO? If not, then-- Just Do it asap!

since ur NOC 4131: College and Other Vocational Instructors is in the 38 Demand list ur under FSW 1

When departing from India for Canada, most of the sought after airlines ( 9W, AI, BA, AC )are giving baggage allowance as given below:

2 baggages * 23 Kgs each maximum per bag ( For adult/child); if one bag weighs 20 and another 26, they charge for additional 3 kgs for the second bag.

Dimensions of checked in baggage i.e. length + width + height should not exceed 158 cms.

For cabin or carry on baggage, every airline has different policy.

Jet airways allows the weight of cabin baggage to be 7kgs maximum.
Air India allows 8 kgs.
British airways and Air Canada allow 10kgs.

Dimension of cabin baggage should not exceed ( L+W+H) should not exceed 115 cms for all of them.

@ Bonjourcanada,

That is a wonderful update. Also, had read somewhere, that China Airlines (via the Pacific and ideal for Vancouver etc. i.e. West Canada) allows 55 kgs. Still, needs to be checked as that is also a good alternate option, especially, if you like Chinese food enroute! 8). Moreover, can have a free view of the Great Wall of China! :-*
