Hi friends,

I'm planning to land in Toronto in March from Dubai. Anyone else travelling around the same time?
Also, does anyone know about the process of getting a letter of authentication for the driver's license from Dubai?

Hi...Visit any driving institute with RTA available, you can get driving license extract or in other words driver's history.
I am too planning to land in Toronto however not in March though , by April end ..

Alhumdulillah, Passport received with visa stamp for all members. Allah knows the right for everything!!!

Passport Submitted to Abu Dhabi Embassy : 18 January, 2016
Passport returned through Aramex : 03 February, 2016

It took 496 days to complete the process Approx. 1 year and 4 months

I wish everyone in the form or anyone hoping a good life in Canada that their dreams comes true!

with in one week for processing and one week for couriers. maximum 20 days

Hi Zakkhan

There is really no other way to get money into Canada other than the official route unless you bring it in cash. If you do bring it in cash you can bring in upto CAD 10K per person ( if memory serves me right) without declaring it but anything more than that amount needs to be declared. My suggestions for bringing in large sums of money is always have a paper trail ( Bank statements showing the money was in your account for sometime) to validate source of money or they will give you a hard time.
In terms of flights check out swiss, klm/air france etc. for options with hopping flights. you will get a great deal if you travel before peak summer. You might get one on Ek or Ettihad as well. You can also check options via US if you have a valid US visa as these options will be cheaper.

1. What is the best way to bring your Proof of funds in canada is it thru travellers cheque? Open bank account? or by Cash?

2. If travellers cheque, where i can get it?

3. If opening bank account, which canadian bank in dubai? how many days i can take it? will they give you debit card or credit card?

4. If cash, is it advisable?

Hi,

I sent my fingerprint forms to a friend in Dubai on January 11th, 2016 for getting police conduct certificate. The envelope was sent via regular mail. It's been one and half months and the application hasn't reached him yet. Is there anyway I can track the package ?. Can someone help me please?.

Attention: Anyone who has an enquiry on mailing PR Card outside Canada

PR cards for my family were issued & sent in normal course to a friend's address in Toronto and he sent me the same to Dubai by FedEx priority courier. The pack reached Dubai in 4 days. I used Dubai residential address, the delivery man called me in my mobile and handed over the pack at home.

My point is it's always better to get it through someone you know personally or carries himself. But even a FedEx courier can also do the job!
