Doubt in Generic Application Form

Hi,

I am filling Generic Application Form(IMM0008). I have a small doubt Question 3. "How many family members, including you, are in this application(see insturctions guide)?

Instruction guide specifies like :

-> Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.

Right now I am applying PR for me and my Spouse. But I have one brother and mother are there. I need to answer 2 or 4.

According to the guide, family members refers to spouse or common law partner and your kids(biological and adopted). So the answer for you is 2(you and wife). Your brother and mother are not part of your application but you will have to provide their information under the family section.
