I was talking with a friend tonight and I have considered importing/exporting my truck from my home in the US into Canada.
I have been reading up on the RIV, Transport Canada, and CBSA site but still have a bit of confusion about all of this. I guess I am just trying to figure out the proper steps I need to take and the approximate costs. Since my truck is from 1994 I am sure it shouldn't cost as much. Also, where I am getting confused is that I have applied inland but I still plan to go home and bring stuff back with me. I am hoping you can still just fill out like a declaration of goods and hand it in when you cross with yourself like you can outland. Does anyone know?

I guess my questions revolve around these types of things:
1. What steps do I need to take to export from the US?
2. What kind of registration, licensing, etc does it need?
3. What steps do I need to know about importing into Canada?
4. Any particular border I have to cross to import? I want to drive from my home in VA back to NL.
5. My vehicle is over 15 years old so is it still importable?
6. With a vehicle and other stuff from home, how much value am I allowed to bring?
7. Can I still bring stuff from home with the same exemptions even though I applied inland?

Sorry for all the questions but I am trying to take notes for when that time comes. I appreciate any and all help I can get.
Thank you! :)

Nevermind, on a side note this seems like such a hassle for a vehicle.
I guess my only question left would be can you still declare goods the same way outland applicant's do even though you applied inland?
