Do I need to update my new passport?

I applied for Family Sponsorship through mail. Do I need to send a Web form or something updating my new passport to IRCC? What should I do?

Yes, you should, and do it by webform.

Note, it likely won't make much difference, and you won't get any confirmation other than an autoreply (if that), but still a good idea. (For those who haven't done this and get the passport request, you can still and should still use whatever new passport you have).
