My uncle, aunt and my cousin got canadian citizenship. But they are not financially strong, and they may have below-average income. I have 71 points now without this extra 5 points ( for the family relative factor). My questions are:

1) do I have to tell CIC that I have relatives in Canada? if i tell them that i have, does it take longer for CIC to do background check on my uncle's family?

2) if I tell them about my uncle, hypothetically in the future if anything bad happens to my uncle's family(sorry to say this), does it have anything to do with me (i.e.my application will be declined)?

3) do I need to photocopy my uncle, my aunt and my cousin's citizenship cards? or just my uncle's will be fine?

4) overall do you think it is worth getting this 5 points?

Thank you so much!!!!

1. Yes, you need to tell them that you have relatives in Canada. No, it doesn't take longer to process your application.
2. No.
3. You should provide whatever documents you need to to show his relationship to you. So probably you would need to show proof that he is the brother of your mother or father.
4. Sure, why not?
