deposit fee of university or not?

I have applied for visa on 30th of june but the deadline for fee payment to university is 23rd of aug till now I havnt recieved my medical call now what to do? may I deposit the fees or not? If I got the visa then its good If not then they will deduct 500 $ from the total amount I paid.

I am already enrolled but now they ask me to pay 5000$ till 23rd and the rest of the fees in September for the whole year.
