Demand Drafts: doe they have expiry???????

well.. it seems i have a new discovery today


do demand drafts have expiry?.. like after 6 months they are no longer valid?

i created my DD on October 3rd... and application reached CIO on Feb 9th...

didnt recieve AOR yet.. went to the bank today and told me about this.. but still they are not sure of the DD has been enchashed and will reply to me tomorrow...

seems the application is heading back to me..

HSBC replied to me this:


"With reference to your email dated 30 April 2010, please be informed
that as per the update received from the concerned department the funds
via the demand drafts have been received by the beneficiaries. "

so it has been enchashed already !!!


well well well... wondering what might be the reason of this delay now

"With reference to your email dated 30 April 2010, please be informed
that as per the update received from the concerned department the funds
via the demand drafts have been received by the beneficiaries. "

so it has been enchashed already !!!

No mine is simple. I have no adptability points claim. They will start search relationship proof at second stage, not now.This stage is just an assessment..
Infact I have applied before, CIO received my app. on november 27,2009. Due to wrong visa office written my application was returned on feb. 02,2010. I re-applied on the same day and received by CIO feb 09. I wrote [visaOffice] Pakistan instead of Islamabad. Which has now changed to London.
Apart from this I just wrote a letter to CIO explaining the whole situation which I have despatched on 30/04/2010.
It will be received round about 7/05/2010. Hope it works.
Lets see what will happen.

yea me too.. my first application to CIO was recieved on November 4th 2010... however they returned the package back to me as i have typed in the wrong Visa office (abu dhabi insted of london) plus they wanted more details for the main duties...

anyways i corrected everything and sent again.. reached to CIO on feb 9th and attached the letter they gave me with the 2nd try..

well, i was optimistic and thought the failing first try might give me some priority in the 2nd try...however, it turned out to be something delaying seems to be !!!!!!!!!!

Have your sisters Demand Drafts's cashed. Do they all encashed on the same date.
Hve you send the letter and appendices which came with returned app..I missed these, I think it will not effect

well, as for my sister's and my DD.. i donno when they have been encashed... i just received the response from HSBC that they have been received by the beneficiaries. well .. i will try to contact them again to know when this happened

and for the letter of appendices ... yes i attached it with my 2nd try ... which has been received on 9th of feb

well.. it shouldnt cause any problem if u dont attach it... lets see

DEAR ALL MEMBERS IM REALLY VERY MUCH WORIED ABOUT MY STATUS....I SUBMITED MY FULL DOC TO ISB VISA OFFICE ON20 SEP 2009....BUT STILL NOT RECEIVED ANY ANSWER AND ANY LETTER JUST E-STATUS SHOWS PANDING IN REVIEW....ANY BUDDY KNOWS HOW MUCH TIME REQUIRE FOR MEDICAL REQUEST...

Well Farhan this thread is meant for 1st AOR from CIO sydney. As I have not gone through the situation like you so I can't comment on that. you should start a new thread and see what seniors reply.
