Decision Made to Oath timeline

Dear Good current and future citizens of our home Canada

My status has changed online to DECISION MADE since the 9th of Sept 2015

My ATIP report received on the 8th of Oct 2015 says that my file is approved and sent to CIC Mississauga to schedule for an Oath ceremony since the 8th of Sept 2015

I have not received any letter and the online update is still DECISION MADE but with no new update when I click on the DM status!!!!!

I'll really appreciate it if anyone could help me with how longer I need to wait till I receive my oath invitation letter since it's been 40 days so far with no update!!!!

It is depends which office you ate dealing with . However in general it is between 2-4 months . You still within the normal range

What other update would you like?

Just wait. 2-4 months or maybe even longer, since Mississauga seems to be slower than most other offices.

My ECAS shows decision made since October 5 and till date no update/ oath letter in mail. I suppose I need to hang tight for few more weeks. My application is under Mississauga office.

Mine too changed to Decision Made on October 19th Mississauga office.

Its one of the slowest offices in the GTA, I heard one of the officers mentioning it would be at least (3-4) months till the oath !

Quick Question:
I took my test today already and passed.But so far in my eCAS, it still shows my application status is "In Processing":
"We started to process your application since Jul 14, 2015"

Is this normal? I mean, for you guys, did your status changed from "In processing" to DM directly? Or is there any info about the test also appeared b4 DM?

Hello Munchenxx,
I took my test a while ago. There is indeed a time difference between test date to ECAS showing decision made, at least in Mississauga office. I read experiences about having the test and oath on the same day in Montreal and probably in some other offices too!

For your eCAS, is there any info about the test appear betwenn "we start processing your application on xxxxx" and DM?

PS: Last year CIC offered same day oath in Montrealbut now it is not the same story anymore. The CO told me to wait fro 2-4 weeks for the oath invitation mail.

Our status changed to "Decision Made" from "In Process". When we click on "Decision Made" we see the following in the next web page:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on Month DD, YYYY.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on Month DD, YYYY.
3. We started processing your application on Month DD, YYYY.
4. We sent you a notice on Month DD, YYYY to appear and write the citizenship test on Month DD, YYYY at XX:XX AM/PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

After the status updated to "Decision Made", we haven't seen any new instruction. We are eagerly waiting for an Oath Date.

When your status was still "In Process", did you see the line "4. We sent you a notice..." ? Or it only appeared when the status changed to DM?
