In that case, they just simply check a package and if everything is fine they encash a DD. However, they delay sending AORs for some reason. Maybe to delay issuing nominations.

That seems to be the case, doesn't it?
Maybe finding out if DD is encashed is an indication of wheteher our package is deemed complete and hence AOR will be issued soon (this 'soon' can be as long as a two months sometimes!)
Just a thought!

Hello Everyone! just like to cheers you guys up. I have following this thread since January/2016. I got registered today to share some News with you.
I am an Inland OINP CEC candidate. My Package Delivered on December/2015. After Waited so long i Emailed them last Week I got response from OINP this morning That i Should Expect some Correspondence from them and After few hours I Received my AOR with $1500CAD Receipt. I came to know That my DD was Already En cashed in March end sometimes. Good Luck Everyone.

the only thing I don't understand is why they don't simply post an update on their website with an explanation of this delays and with the actual timeline - something like this:
we have 2000-3000 applications to process.
September -xxx
October- xxx
etc
we process N applications, issue X AORs and Y nominations per day.
that's it and it's quite an easy thing to do. :-[

yes and all other CEC applicants , because it seems CEC group is active now. lets hope all others also get AOR soon. Last week was better compared to the previous two.
