Anybody called cic today?
I have been trying to call for almost three hours but they keep saying they are under a high volume and it gets disconnected..

I called on this number today after 144 days....and the lady said they do not have information about me in the system....Do you think my file is lost?? PLEASE HELP SENIORS

I dont think your file was lot. This could happen when they didnt open yours yet or didnt process it.

Have u been charged?

Unfortunately it happens all The time. Try keep phoning or wait for tomorrow morning. The best hour to call is 9 am (Nova Scotia time).

No I haven't been charged as yet and its almost 5 months now

The agent told me my application is in paris office although i am from the middle east! Is that normal to send applications to countries other than the applicants country?

Nonetheless those of us who didn't and probably won't get one (because our VOs don't send them) are very curious as to what it says that is different than the PER. Thanks for sharing! +1

Yes. This is very normal when your country VO is full of work, this way they will try to process your file faster. And Paris is a good VO.

Hi everyone,

I checked my application status by calling on the helpline last month and they said that my documents are returned due to cap reach of my category. Documents were sent back on 27th Feb 2015 according to the helpline. I have still not received them. How much time does it take to get back the documents? Is there any way to check the status of the package where it is. I sent my payment through a DD which was part of the parcel. In case my parcel never reaches me how I will encash my DD here?

Hi,

I have almost the same scenario as of ur case...

File recieved on 24th Dec, 2015 with DD under NOC 2172.

I Called CIC so many times but never reach a single conversation with call center agents.
Emailed Canadian Immigration authrities on 27th March for obtaining the latest info abt my case but still did'nt get any reply to that.

As per forum discussions it looks cap has already reached in my NOC.

DD can be cancelled at any time by charging a little amount as penalty.

Now its really very tough to get back the application package as such posts are entertained by our national post (Pak post) office which usually works as govt style, so let wait n c.

Dont waste the precious time for just to recieve the package, must fill out the profile for EE and check ur score.

40 days gone. Till date no news of AOR. Can anyone suggest me when will I get AOR. Will they check background before provide AOR? Are all cases they go through background check? Thanks in advance.
