Hi,

It's been 35 days since we got SA and I too have not received any response from our VO and my medicals too isn't updated yet. However looking at the timeline of other applicants under my VO, they have gotten an AOR/ ADR after 2 or 3 months of SA. So I am hoping I will hear from them only by April end or earlier if I am lucky.

I think there are people who don't see medical received throughout the process, and those who get it once their file is transferred. It's weird like that. Maybe you can send a case-specific query to the VO for them to confirm that they do have it.

Go on CIC's website and look for your Visa Office- Rome. There should be some info on how to contact them, both general enquiries and case-specific enquiries. For case-specific, you would need to provide the UCI# that they can reference.

Thank you very much for your reply. Hope we both have a fast reply from our visa ofice , because, i don't know about you, but I'm a little bit worried...

Oh I am definitely worried! I am checking ECAS every half an hour and refresh my email account too hoping to hear from them.

As mentioned earlier, my VO takes 2 to 3 months to send an email requesting for additional documents and they send the AOR at the same time. So that means that they would open the file once it is transferred from Missisuaga and send out an email when they need further documents.

We're happy to join this thread as we also submitted our application on Dec. 5, 2013. CIC Mississauga sent an email (to our joint email account) on Jan. 1, 2014 that the application was received on Dec. 5, 2013. We received notice that I was approved as a sponsor on Jan. 9, 2014 and our file was sent to Pretoria, South Africa. Then my husband received an email on January 27, 2014 that his application for permanent residency was received on Dec. 5, 2013.

Anyhow, we're now patiently waiting for more updates : :

How many days did it take since VO acknowledged the recipient of the additional documents until your eCAS status change to "in process"? just to have some reference...and to stop refreshing it

And from seeing "in process" to passport request?

I never received an acknowledgement of them receiving the additional documents. As a matter of fact my PPR came as a reply to an inquiry about it.

Doc request: Jan 19
Forms arrived per tracking: Feb 14
Ecas updated to In Process: Feb 18 (4 days)
PPR: Feb 23 (5 days)
Ecas updated to Decision Made: Feb 24

And that's where we are today. I believe today is my 90th day of waiting since Mississauga received my application... Maybe it's tomorrow. Eagerly waiting another person to get COPR before me so that, hypothetically, I can get mine within a few days ahaha.

Thanks Benjis! PPRQ when on a visa exempt country is only a confirmation that the application has been accepted correct? and COPR it would be basically a letter to be sent to your mail address, which you can present at the border?

I just had to state in writing my passport details hadn't changed. Still waiting but yes, I believe I'm just waiting for a little letter from Sydney, which will contain the landing papers I take to the border. Hopefully that arrives next week!

Well, I got an email from CIC and my visa was issued on Feb 27! I'm just waiting for the paperwork and to land. Almost over!
