If the status of sponsor application changes to "decision made" shouldn't the status of PR application changes to "in process" if the decision is YES?

Right now PR application is still "application received"

Not an expert by any means...LOL
But from my understanding... you "may" receive something from your VO when they receive your application... but a lot of people don't receive anything when the PR application is received at the VO. Depending on your VO it may take months before your application goes in process... some don't... applicants just receive another DM.... Stage 2 which is where you are at now can be a very lengthy process.... so hang on for the ride

This step(step 1) of the process is only about the Sponsor being accepted and the correct forms were properly submitted. This step is not concerned with proof of relationship, etc..

Now your on to step 2. Your application is now sent to the VO. If Islamabad is your VO they have a 26 month processing time for stage 2 in 80% of the applicants. All I can suggest is to take it one day at a time as I suspect this may be a lengthy process for you.

Guys I have something in my mind that's bugging me. My wife is a Canadian and i'm a Filipino do I need to renew my passport for status change from single to married? Hope anyone could help, thanks in advance.

You would only need to renew your passport when it expires. Just send copy of your marriage certificate which should be adequate and would reflect both names.
