The tracking number from UPS is your best bet, because they probably won't let you know anything. If you're lucky, you will get an AOR ( acknowledgement of receipt) by email telling you that they have received your file, but most people don't get that, and you should need to wait until they process your file.
Are you sponsoring your wife inland ( through Vegreville) or outland? (Mississauga first, then a visa office outside?) if it's Mississauga it's a 43 days waiting time for now, and if it's vegreville it's 6 months.
If you're doing the outland process, please let me know which VO is handling your file afterwards and I'll add it to the spreadsheet.

Welcome to the thread, I have added you to the spreadsheet, let me know when you have the confirmation ( from the courrier or the post office) that the file was delivered and I will add the date.

the link for the spreadsheet is in my signature, as well as in the signatures of couple of other people on the thread.
The medicals should be done BEFORE sending the application to Mississauga, as it is part of the application.
You need to select a doctor in the list from CIC, get an exam from them, and they will give you a paper to include in your application to prove that you have done it ( not the actual results, but only a proof).

If you haven't done it - start getting the information, phone the nearest doctor, and book your appointment. When CIC approves your file for sponsorship ( if they don't send it back for medicals missing, sometimes they do, most of the times they don't), they will give you a file number. Then send the medical receipt to your VO in Amman and you can send them the proof of your medical. You can wait until they request it ( as your VO has quite a long waiting time) but it should have been done with the rest of the application in the first place, so it will delay your file (because then VO needs to issue the letter, send it to you, you do the exams, and the VO has to wait for the results to arrive from the doctor).

Good news is the application went off. We were up late and spent numerous weekends being very thorough with what we submitted. All nearly 4kg of it.

It was set to be delivered this morning then we received an e-mail from the Deep South of the US of A where it had shown arrived since Saturday. Somehow prior to being moved again, the labels all came off (no idea how, we used a lot of tape). Package was opened and gone through to find our details. It's being passed on but it will arrive who knows when AND we just have to hope its still all in one piece and everything is still in there in the same meticulous order.

Not the news we wanted as I can't help but worry but there are a lot more people less fortunate than us.

Happy Christmas everyone and hopefully I can provide a timeline soon to be added to the spreadsheet.

I have tried logging in to ECAS and I was successful

It shows App received and Meds received. But under sponsorship application status it shows 'in process'. Is this normal?
