Hi SenoritaBella do you have any news from Dakar yet? my step kids medical will expire next week hopefully they will extend them and finalize them ,my wife getting so stressed now because Dakar still haven't finalize her Non accompanying dependents , I heard Dakar VO supposed to go fast earlier this year

I thought I had replied you... sorry for the late response. I haven`t gotten news from Dakar yet. Our file was sent there last month, so we are waiting to get acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) from them. Does Dakar issue AOR?

@senoritabella I don't think so if Dakar issue AOR , but you can send an email to see if they had it and can also ask the process time

It's been 10 months since dakar has my file. The day before the PPR I sent an email to dakar to have information on my file because many people from late april 13 were receiving PPR and the next day they sent me the PPR . They ask for additional documents like background check from Gabon and update on some documents I already submit with my application. I will sent the whole package next week.

Congrats again oadamour! So good to see your timeline, took 10 months from SA to PPR... that is really good considering the CIC website says 23 months for processing.

HELLO !!!!!!!!!

I received my passport back on Friday and i crossed the border via car on Saturday. Border crossing went fine. SO HAPPY i am home right now !!! Hope everybody heard great news soon !!!

Congrats Mrs Joeuh!! may i ask u when did u send your passport to dakar?
they had asked me to get my police clearance from benin and senegal i had to come in Africa to get those papers. i sent all the docs to them friday by DHL n they received it on Tues.
do you know how long it takes them to issues the visa?

I sent my passport and the other documents they requested January 11. They told me to expect it back between 6-8 weeks. Hopefully yours come sooner !

Hi every one just checking if there's any news from Dakar VO , I sent an email almost 2 wks ago to Dakar regarding my steps kids (all minors )file but no reply yet its been 13th months since Vegreville transfer file to Dakar and 5 months since additional doc has been received by the Vo ,getting too much now for my wife and I , good luck for all of us

Hope you hear from them soon. Have you ordered your GCMS notes to see what is going on with your file? I haven't heard any news from them about application, but then again we are just a few months into the process. Someone said here a while back that CIC will be sending more visa officers to Dakar... does anyone know if this actually happened?
