Convert Closed WP to Open WP

Hi..
Present situation - I have Closed WP with my employer and my wife has Dependent - Open WP in Alberta.
My wife has got job and her employer is processing her Closed WP (via LMO and then Closed WP).

Now I want to quit my current job and work as a contractor via contracting agency to employer.

Question -
1. Can I get Open WP based on my wife's Closed WP? If yes, how?
2. Can I work as a contractor via contracting agency to any employer, without LMO? or do I need LMO for this?

If your wifes job is NOC skill level A B or 0 then you can apply for an open work permit and you can then work for any employer without an LMO.

I am in the same boat now that you were few years back. Can you please tell me if you were able to convert your closed wp to open wp and can you briefly tell me the steps. thanks much for your help.
