Hi,
I just passed 1 year since becoming a PR. My father sponsored my family when he applied for PR while he was a protected person. I came to Canada in 2011 with my mother and she applied for a protected person but was denied, so my status was protected person until the application was denied. In 2013, my dad filed for PR and he sponsored us. I got my PR status in 2017.
With the new immigration policy, people are given half a day for the days you been in Canada before becoming pr. Since I been in Canada since 2011, would I be entitled to the max 1 year and would I be able to apply for citizenship in 2019, since if I'm given the 1 year, I would make the 3-year mark?
Thank You
