Just curious, my common-law partner applied to sponsor me, we're in the 2nd stage waiting, Manila CEM. I am here in Alberta as foreign worker and my dependent is in the Philippines if they ask for PPR do I have to send my passport to the Philippines so my kid's passport and mine will be sent together?

I don't think you have to do that way, but if I were in your shoes, that's EXACTLY how I would do it . . . send it to my 'dependant' or family where staying so that "both" can be sent in at the same. Anything to save any possible confusion on CEM's part, will potentially save time.
