Closed work permit processing time from India

Hi all,

The Canadian govt site says that a temporary residence (work permit) visa applied from India takes about 21 weeks.

Have any of you applied recently? I've got a job offer from a company in BC and they said that they'll start the application process but not sure about the visa processing timelines. Any helps / thoughts / anyone recently applied and traveled from India?

Will take much longer and the WP is far from guaranteed. The estimated processing time was during normal times. In most cases your employer will need LMIA first. Due to much higher unemployment ratea it will be harder to get a WP because the emphasis will be to get those already in Canada working again.
