Can someone please advise:
I have filed four Income Tax Returns with CRA as PR, but there are open assessment notices issued by CRA because of errors in reporting foreign Taxes paid in U.S, which is a matter of sorting it out by CRA/myself. I have paid a lot more taxes in U.S then owed to CRA. Once corrections are made, i would owe nothing. Would these open assessments be a problem for my Citizenship application?. Is filing Four Tax Returns is what Immigration Officer look at or open assessments would be any issue. Please help.
