Q11: Tell us what you have been doing during your five-year eligibility period, inside and outside of Canada. Enter details of your employment and education history below. Please include any period of unemployment, period of retirement, period working at home as a homemaker or being self employed. Be sure to provide information for the five-year eligibility period. Start with the most recent. If there are any missing days, periods of time or if the section is left blank, your application will be returned to you.

Hi Everyone i have a question about this one.

If I work from 2017 july to 2019 June , July 2019 to dec 2019 unemployed . Then work from Jan 2020 to May 2021, then unemployment from June to sep

Can i write
July 2017 to June 2019. -- work
July 2019 to Dec 2019 ---Unemployment
Jan 2020 to May 2021-- Work
June 2021 till August 2021 Unemployment
Sep 2021 to present work

Does it mean i have gap? Since they only ask for month. For every period, i started a new month.
I am wondering if they need overlap like July 2017 to June 2019. June 2019 to dec 2019. so have June as overlap .

Or what i wrote above is good enough to show no gaps.?

Thanks a lot

What you wrote above is right. If you are unemployed you have to mention that too, leaving no gaps.

Thanks for your response.

But for the moths. Do i need to write July 2017 to June 2019 then June 2019 to dec 2019 . SO june 2019 is overlap?

Or
July 2017 to June 2019. -- work
July 2019 to Dec 2019 ---Unemployment. will be ok?

Yes you have to overlap the months. July 2017 to June 2019 then June 2019 to dec 2019 -> This is right

@Akadri dont overthink things.
Just put the start of the new job (or unemployment period) depending on when it actually started. If it's in the middle of a months, put it, if you quit your previous job on the last day of the month (or took a week or 2 of vacation!) , it will be the next month and that's it.
In both cases, there's no gap in your history and IRCC will be fine with it.
