CIC does background check for all past employers?

Hi there,

One of my employers where I worked from 2007 - 2008 has closed operations in delhi. So reference check might not result in anything.

Another employer 2010-2012 has shifted address. So phone number on appointment letter is no longer valid.

What should I do?

1) Will CIC go back to previous employers or will they go to recent ones only?

2) Can I give direct number of my reporting managers in above two cases?

I have worked in 3 other companies after 2012 and tgey can be very well contacted and verified.

Currently I am working in a company.

So please help me with above questions. Whether cic will check latest 2-3 employers or will they go to all employers.

Experts please help me. I am too confused. Different consultants are saying different things and I feel none of them knows what exactly has to be done.

If its study permit, then they dont check. If its PR, they might check.

Many thanks for your response.

Even my brother who is in canada told me the same.

But the visa consultant has scared me. He said earlier visa process took 1 week but now it takes 3-4 weeks which means they will do all background checks

Did you get your visa recently? If yes then did cic do any employer calls?
