checking the status of my application

Hello there I am wondering is there anyway to get details on my applications status. When I called the CIC 1800 number I was informed they cant give details and to contact my visa office. They only gave me an email adress and fax number. So I sent them an email requesting information. I was then informed that they have received my application but no other details. The website will only inform me that my application has been received and the date they received it. Is there anyway I can get more details on my application or do I just have to sit on my hands And be frustrated lol

There likely aren't any more details for you to get from them, but you could try ordering your gcms notes and see if there is anything there. I don't know when you filed your application, but if it was recent, then you might just want to sit back and relax some because you have a long wait ahead of you.

Sit on your hands and be frustrated like everyone else ... :
You can call the automated line at 1-888-242-2100 and if you are checking on a PR application you enter 121 then all your details, I believe that updates before the online system does...

Edited to add: It looks like you've applied inland family sponsorship through Ottawa in November?? If that's the case then you probably have about 5 - 6 more months before you're going to hear anything...

I applied outland and was told to send application to cpp-o. the application was received in November and since then we have heard nothing other than the sponsored person is approved. so darn frustrating itd be nice to know something other than "application received" grr lol. thanks for the information.
