How long does it take for CPC Mississauga to acknowledge receipt of my application? I sent my application from the UK for permanent residency along with my Canadian wifes sponsor application to CPC Mississauga on the 10th of July and it was recieved on the 14th of July.

Will I get confirmation of receipt from CPC Mississauga or will this only happen when processing of the application starts? Is the only way to keep checking the internet site?

Once the sponsorship application is processed the sponsor will get the approval or rejection letter. It takes about 30 days to process plus mailing time. After the application has been forwarded to the processing center (London in your case) they will send the applicant an AOR.

You can check e-cas using the receipt number and the sponsor's name until you have received a case number (which is on the AOR)
