I guess non of the forum members here is a shariah expert, but with my limited knowledge of Islam I would say please consider your dad's advice too and seek a Shariah opinion from some reputable Mufti of your Fiqah. I am witness of one such Nikah where a couple got married twice. It is not Nikah on Nikah but infact called consolidation of marriage.

The groom was my neighbour who got married to a Christian American girl, converted her to Islam, got marriage license in USA and also did Nikah facilitated by a Muslim Imam. The groom's mother and other family members insisted him to do valima in Pakistan, so the couple came here and asked my father (who has indepth knowledge of Islam) would that be ok if they perform another Nikah and valima? My father got advice from a Mufti sahib and he said it is not only ok but better as this will consolidate the family relationship. So shortly speaking we all participated in the Nikah ceremony held in a Mosque and then valima at home.

Therefore, sister please consider this option as well, but as I said seek a Shariah / legal Advice first. Following is a link for your understanding:

Alhamdulilah, received visa with in 4 days through VFS.

Applied in January 2012
interview March 2014
in process & repeat medical in February 2015
Decision made + PPR + Visa in April 2015

I applied for my husbands case in nov 2012 and aor in dec 2012
Recieved original docs in 2013 and nothing ever since
We applied for his visit visa in feb 2015 but it got rejected
Now i am thinking to hire a good lawyer

I heard from some applicants who applied from Pakistan they have submit original nikkah nama and educational documents? it that correct ?? I applied from UAE as i am resident and from here no such requirements for original documents. But unfortunately they forwarded my file to LVO i/o ADVO so now they will ask for originals or not? :-X

Any advise from seniors?

If you were born in Pakistan, I bet they will definitely gona ask for Original Documents. If you followed the checklist, it says Pakistani National should submit original documents. But seen one case from Pakistan living somewhere probably in the UK and he didn't submit the originals even then his case was approved, and he got PR visa, so I don't know how cic/uk will deal in with your case.

I submitted all originals/translations/notarized.

Not necesaarily.
We supplied attested copies from Foreign Office, which were accepted without issues and no originals were needed.
Only original PCC was provided. (This at Paris office).

Hi, can someone please help me. I got an email from cic yesterday asking me if I have travelled or have had any illnesses since my medical. This is to determine if I'm eligible for medical extension. How do I reply to this email? Do I send them a reply through email and attach a copy of my passport or should I post a letter. Please help

so ecas changed to in process n then re medical recevied a day later? i though it goes to in process after re medical are done :s. is this normal?
