me july 2012 applicant got r med in jan 14 but still no ppr

Was thinking about this.

For background checks there has always been two opinions. (Either is done before ppr or after ppr).

I believe, there is no set rule. (Depends totally on VO).

But for me to see if this hypothesis is true were gonna have to verify on thing.

1) 1st group VO gave PPR-1 before changing "Application received" to "In process"

2) 2nd group VO gave PPR-1 after approx 30 days of "In process".

Now:

If 1st group PPR-2 comes approx close to the 30 day mark (maybe that VO was doing background checks?)

and

If 2nd group PPR-2 comes earlier (lets say 10 days or so), that would likely mean Background checks were completed prior to issuance of PPR-1.

Lets see. Should be interesting. (I could be all wrong lol)

Congrats! could you please confirm if he also received the COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) document when he got the passport back? I believe that's one of the documents that you need to show at the airport when you arrive in Canada?

Can someone list down the list of documents one must have to present at the airport?

My wife got PPR from Islamabad as well...we're still waiting to get it back...it's been about 4.5 weeks since we sent it

best of luck bro...

i think they are returning back the passport within 2-3 weeks but only for those whos files were transferred to london...

but i think CIC forget the April 2012and march applicants special pryers to all the applicant who are waiting from a long time

My wife received acknowledgement letter from CIC Canada in September 2012 and my online status was updated in September as WE RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION in July 2012. Now in January 2014 I received a letter from CIC Islamabad requesting for additional information regarding family and new police report. Up till today I have not received any reply or acknowledgement from CIC Islamabad and my online status is still the same.
Is there anyone else in the same boat as me or I am the only one............
Can some one please reply and help me regarding my case.
