hey guys,

i got my citizenship exam date after longggggggggggg wait and i have less than a week for prep.... if you guys appeared for the test or have idea what kind of questions they ask and whats the pattern of the exam like how many questions..whats the passing score etc please let me know...

Congrat. I had it last year. They check your general knowledge and familiar with Canada. Passing question has increased to 15/20. Every question will come from Book. Read the book and practice test Qs at http://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice.

I noticed some questions from come as it is form apnaTornoto.com. Are you in Ontario or West side of Canada

When did you apply for citizenship?

I applied in July 2011, got a letter for finger prints in June 2012 ...nothing since...Ecas shows in process since April 2012.

How long did you have to wait for the test?

19 months... i wasnt asked for anything but they gave me less than a week for preparation.. i called them in december for status update and now got letter for exam...

are you sure theres only 20 questions? someone told me test paper is comprised of 30 MCQs.. how much time we get for the test?

Any sisters here who wear Hijaab or any brothers here with wives who wear Hijaab? If so, did you guys send any pictures without Hijaab or no?

Hi evryone i am feb 2012 applicant file transfer to ottawa may 2012, i contacted my mp today and they got response today from ottawa and mp told me that ottawa is just helping isb and eventually file will be transferred to isb for issuance of visa. they have not started background and criminial checks yet and she said your remedical should be on its way. but whn i had contacted MP in october she told me that my husband medical is valid till may 2013 though my husband did medical in jan 2012. now she was saying that remedical should be on its way but im confused now normally when are criminal and background checks done? and how is ottawa going to do those checks???

if my file was in isb it would have been treated faster then ottawa, i had sent 1 year relationship proofs to ottawa in nov and they just added them in file and didnt accelerate my file. they r doing nothing! I spoke to my lawyer today and she told that ottawa has not even treated a single case for Pakistanis. its really frustrating. i think they are helping is in making are processing time even more longer

Hey hun, I wear hijab but i did send my fotos without hijab from different receptions, and fotos of me and my husband that we took at home I did not have hijab on, but i still sent them :$, however my pictures which are document fotos were sent with Hijab. if that's what ur asking..you dont really have to send them but the pictures will be sent back to you or your spouse at the end..so nothing to worry about

Yeah thats what I was really asking :S.. Like I wear Hijaab and all the pictures I sent were WITH Hijaab. Now I am going to Pakistan soon and I was thinking of taking a few without them too so it shows everything is legit lol. I don't know if I make sense.

Don't worry it's still legit, they know everything about our culture and religion sending more photos is not a bad idea but even if you didn't send any without Hijab I don't think it will matter to them cause you have a reason to say you didn't send photos because you don't want a non-muharram male to see your photos without Hijab that's why you didn't send any. I am sure they will understand that

Pakistan is shady like that.. how can I guarantee pictures aren't kept or copies aren't made.. you know what I am saying? I won't send any probably. Thanks for the advise hun .
