Salam All,

Anyone here got a passport request recently i.e. in Oct or Nov? And did you get the passport back yet?
My husband just got a passport request last week on Dec 12 and we are wondering how long its going these days to get the passport back from the embassy?
I know someone who got their passport back after 4 months
We have waited enough!!!

i dont think soo tht affects sponsership cuz both my kids are getting them and it didnt affect the sponsership we aasked the lawyer only welfare affects the sponsership cuz as soon as u start recieveing welfare cic automatically find out cuz it goes n the computer child care and welfare r 2 differant things u can ask other forum members as well

Here is an update on my wife case.

Received Application at CHC-I in July 2011
ReMedical Request and completed Dec 2012

17 months and counting

Yes, that can affect the sponsorship of the applicant.

Can you please more eleborate this point that how it can effect sponsorship case? Under what condition/point?

Yess sister i am sponsering my husband since may 2010 and i have been getting child benefit for 2 and half years now my husbands case is almost at the end just waiting to get his passport back inshallah he shud get it soon its been 4 weeks now pls pray he gets it soon soo we can celebrate our daughters b-day togather Inshallah

Let me share my perception regarding TCS numbers.
1. for those TCS number which does not show consignee and shipper info ,those are letters which CHC despatch.
2.For those TCS numbers which show Consignee name and shipper name, those are passports which have prepaid courier receipt.

Plz correct me if i m wrong.

found this on another forum...check the BF date..which stands for Bring Forward date...which is when they will review it next...IO stands for Immigration Officer? so I guess he/she will be looking at it next..

File was transfsred in dec 2011
had aubmitted additional docs of relation proof & re pcc in july 2012
Did my re-medical in the end of oct 2012

I got to questions if u guys can help.....
I got polc clearnce reports in july 2012 again to be submitted as requstsd by chc...olice reporta r valid for 6 months....so my ppcz r gettng expired in jan .....if i dont get ppr before that, wod chc be askng me to submit the again when sending ppr?....am worried about it coz i hav lived in saudia aftr turning 18....n gettng ppc frm there in a hectic thng...n other than that my parentz ni longer reside there...

Secondly....i have 3 visitz out side pk in last 5 yrs... is it going to delay my back grond/security chks???

Your timeline is same as mine.
Yes offcourse ,travel history has an impact on your backgroud checks which may take longer .
they may ask for Repcc , but not necessarily.
One thing more never try to send anything voluntarily until they ask for that.
Your visits may impact delay in ur case only if u mentioned in your application.

Hello dear senior members i have a question. Is the child care benefits also part of walfare? N can the CIC refuse the spouse sponsorship case on the base that the sponsored is getting canada/universal child care benefits

No it is not a type of social assistance . It does not have anything to do with your application. Not all the benefits are bad . Only the bad benefits are the ones that you take because you are not willing to fulfill your responsibility

Like for example EI is a type of benefits ... but the reason it is different from social assistance is that you pay for your EI when your working and the system knows that while your taking EI you are willing to work and you will be back on your job soon
Where as social assistance is more like survival kit and the person receiving it is only receiving it because that person can not take care of himself . And until that person starts taking care of himself he can not sign anyone else's undertaking

I had had to mention my visits as it was mentioned in my application that I had lived in saudia for
More than 17 yrs.....all my schooling crom saudia n consequently I had to submit photocopies of my passports which were undery use all dis time.....
N what da hell they gona chk more about my travel other than my travel dates which r mentioned in my filled forms n stampz on passport.....
All my school certificates r frm there :-\
