Changes in corresponding address

Hi all.
I am new in this field and was looking for help from you guys. I am living in glasgow and had applied for fsw. I got my per in february and now waiting for MR. my question is that i want to change my corresponing address because i had left the place where i was living before and which address i have given to CIC. I had already sent one request letter to the LVO saying that please change my address. I am 100% they have rceived my letter about 15 days earlier but still in ECAS its showing my old address. what should i do. Should i write again or I should be statisified that they got my request and they will do it.

Hi dear,
you need only to send them a FAX explaining the issue and ofcourse provide them with your new mailing address. Try to send fax as soon as possible and for sure you need to send them a Registered LETTER with acknowledgment of Receipt via the MAIL to be sure that they received it and after some time you check it on the line on CIC.gc.ca online status they should mentioned your new address with all your contact numbers (Telephones, Fax) Mobile every thing that make it easy for them to contact you.

This on-line service allows Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) clients to submit an address notification or change of address on-line, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You may use this on-line service if:

your case is being processed in Canada;
your address is in Canada;
you are moving within three weeks;
you have not been requested to report your change of address in person to your local office.


And you:

sponsored a member of the family class;
applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or renewal);
applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);

applied to resume Canadian citizenship.

You can't rely 100% on eCAS. On the other hand you can't be sure that they got your new address either as I heard that applicants would still get correspondence to their old addresses after changing.
I would suggest to order CAIPS to make sure it is changed to the new one.

In the PER they have said that what ever we need to do is, we have too tell them in written. which I already have inform them. try to send them fax as well. As my visa office is LONDON and they are really very very slow as compared to all other VO. May be they do it later and they have received my request as I am 100% sure they have received my request as i have sent them registered letter and I did track it with post office and its showing that they have received it.
