Each university has different requirement for application depending on your subject, level of study. Please see the application requirement in the University websites. For an example you can convert your grade for Usask here: http://grad.usask.ca/admissions/grade-conversions.php
It will give you an estimation of your grade in Canadian standard if you are an international student.
If you meet the requirement, don't be worries about the competition. There is chances for everyone which also depends on your interest, getting an advisor, work experience, funding etc.
So, first explore the websites and you'll know it.
