Hello, I am asking these questions for a friend. Long story short, she dated a man about 5 years ago, from a Caribbean country, but in the British army. He was working in Canada at the time. She ended up getting pregnant before he left for home, now they have a 4 year old daughter together. He would like to come visit but needs a visa.
He is a resident of uk. He works for the British army. He has his own kids in Germany with his exwife... He also was arrested due to a "racially charged incident" but does not show on his record, they will admit to the arrest on the application but assuming they will ask for a police clearance?
Will his tax receipts and pay stub work for proof of funds? Or will they want to see bank accounts? My friend has offered to pay the flight, and he will stay with her in Canada, however she doesn't want to put that part in the invitation letter.
What are the odds he will get approved? He does have strong ties back to the uk, but not much money for travel...
