Hi to all! Hope you could give some suggestions...

I am planning to invite my family-in-law (parents/brother/sister) this coming Christmas and New Year.

Our PR applications have already been submitted and currently waiting for MR. My work permit will expire on Jan. 27, 2015 (I have only 4 months in my current work permit). I am planning to apply for a BOWP on mid-December.

Having this scenario of a work permit less than 6 months, will this be an issue in their visa (TRV) approval?

Thanks in advance

PR and TRV are too different processes.

Rest for TRV for your in Laws you need to invite them and Proof of funds to support would be the key here .

Thank you for your comments Gurindar.

Just to clarify what I understand from your comments, let say I have the the invitation letter and funds, my work permit (though only 4 months left) would not be an issue in my in-laws TRV approval? I am thinking that the VO will also assess my status here though legal has only few months left before my work permit expires.

You just need to have legal status when you send the letter. Their TRV length and duration will not depend on your TRV.

I second to maniac :D , Adding if you can somehow get Temporary Travel Tickets(To-Fro) which you can reschedule or cancel can also strengthen the case.
