Hi Guys,

Quick question. I got a "Ready for Visa" email from CIC this morning. I am guessing this is the PPR? (I am not sure about the abbreviations, sorry if I am wrong) but the email asks me to inform CIC of any changes in my status like marriage or death or something and asks me to send my passport with passport size pictures. I am glad that I finally got this request from CIC but I am going to the states for vacation in 2 weeks and by the time I come back the 30 days within which they requested my passport would be over. I do not want to extend the time with CIC because I am guessing it'll further delay the process when I send my passport back. If I send it today what are the chances that I get my passport within 2 weeks. any idea?

Congrats!!!
In general it takes 2 weeks and bear in mind next week is a short week (25-Mar) and there may be slow down due to people going on vacation. either delay your trip and then you can land or you still have time to come back and send it.

I have just received an email from CIC for an in person interview where they will finalize my application.

"In order to grant you permanent residence, you must provide us with satisfactory original identity documents. All applicants must provide their original valid passport at the landing interview."

I received DM on March 3rd, 2016 and no ppr yet.

are you sure its an interview (did they specify time & date)? seems strange if you have already had DM
Or do they mean when you are doing your landing, you must provide passport & other docs?

well thats what it says in the email

"I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview"

I have to call and get a timeslot.

Please guide me with instructions how to send the RCMP report to CIC, I did it again and received the report today as the first time I requested it to be sent directly to CIC and CIC never got it.

Please help ,
It seems it has to be sent by mail to

Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1

I want to know if I need to mention anything with the mail and anything on the envelope like my UCI and Application Number or so.

I was asked to email them mine. If they want it sent to their office, they will give you the instructions on their request

Hello Guys,

Finally I got the email for which I have been waiting for months.. Passport Request ;D ;D ;D

My timelines is as below:
app rec -- sep 4 2014
AOR -- jan 17 2015
T4,NOA and PCCs upfront - May 2015
medical upfront -- Sep 2015
paid upfront RPRF fee -- Sep 2015
ready for visa -- march 16

I need to send passport to visa office through VFS services. Do I need to take prior appointment ? Also, do I need to go with all dependents.. ? Please advise.
