CEC application - new job after AOR

Hi all,

Need help for a friend. She got selected under CEC and she was unemployed by the time she got her ITA, AOR and by the time she applied. She got points for her Canadian experience only. Two months after submitting the application she got a new job (abroad; the applicant was abroad when submitting the application). Did she need to update the CIC on something? She's already paid her fee, got the COPR etc. Her address didn't change. She just went from unemployed to a new job.

The COPR email said:

You must inform our office immediately if any of the following conditions apply.

· Marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation;

· Death of the sponsor, the principal applicant or any accompanying family member;

· Birth or adoption of a child, including grandchildren born to dependent children;

· You, the principal applicant, or any of your family members have been charged or convicted of a criminal offence.

If she has already received COPR, then i believe changing a job doesn't really matter. But 1 thing i would doubt is, if she has a PNP from a province and has taken a job offer in other province. Then there could be question regarding this while landing

No PNP there. Just a regular express entry ITA under CEC (no LMIA or anything). So it's ok right?

Yep it should be absolutely ok, if she already has a COPR

Thanks, Pinga. You mean it's ok if she's got a job after receiving COPR or if she's got a new job and received COPR a couple of weeks later or both? Her COPR asked her to update only on the 4 points included above, that's why she didn't bother on updating on the new job, but now is a bit concerned she should have done that.
