Hello, I have a Canadian PR and currently live in the US. I have an old car here which I was planning to sell and replace with a new car. I will not be buying a brand new vehicle but will be going for a 2 or 3 year old vehicle (honda or toyota). I am deliberating if I should buy the car from here and bring it along when I enter canada for the first time and import it. OR shall I buy one from Canada. Please suggest. vehicle prices are cheaper in the US and waiting period is also a non issue. How much import duty is to be paid at the border? I am trying to see if the overall cost of getting the vehicle from the US will be cheaper. Thanks for your inputs.
