Can't PGWP holders apply for PR through International Masters Graduate Stream?

Hi guys,

Reading through this forum, I believe the EE program has prolonged the chances of PGWP holders getting PR as they would have less points due to lack of LMIA.

However, if they have a Masters degree from Ontario or something, can't they apply for PR through the Masters Pilot PNP program of Ontario (which doesn't even require a job offer) or that of British Columbia for example. I think many provinces have such special programs for Masters Graduates.

Or has that category been moved into the EE pool???

The Ontario PNP website says: Opportunities Ontario has a target of 5,200 nominations in 2015, this includes nominations for both Opportunities Ontario and Express Entry. I don't know what this means???

P.S. I, myself, will be done with my Masters program this month in Ontario, and am worried about the EE fiasco that's going on and not sure if it will affect me if I apply for PR through the Opportunities Ontario International Masters Graduate Stream. Any advice is appreciated.

Not all grads are as lucky as ones in BC - accepts grads from any Canadian Univ.
Ontario only accepts grads from Ontario Univ.
Each province has different rules wrt International Grad Stream.

Not what I'm asking lol... My question is if this Masters Graduate stream is affected by the Express Entry thing that's started..

All this is so confusing... if we are in the Masters Grad Stream pool, are we processed separately or are we in the EE pool too and be low on points due to no LMIA????

If you mean FSW Grad student stream from before EE, that doesn't exist anymore, nor any streams in FSW. It's just FSW now.

BCPNP takes only people who are settling in BC. Not every grads wants to or able to settle in BC. Sask SINP also takes Canadian non-Sask graduates (Bachelor or up) but it requires 2 years post-grad work experiences. Every province has their own requirements in PNP applicants and not all are the same.

I think this is the old style paper application and is outside of EE program

Ontario has not yet announced its EE specific program. PNP and other programs are same as before. You can apply for PNP if you graduated from Ontario Univ. This is not related with EE at all.

That's what I think too, but why they have written these lines on the above link of Masters PNP then: Opportunities Ontario has a target of 5,200 nominations in 2015, this includes nominations for both Opportunities Ontario and Express Entry.

What does it mean??

This means when Ontario PNP opens upto EE, it would inlude some numbers out of the 5200. But no specifics yet as to when, how many, etc.

The same stream says you can submit your application in your last semester. So you had better apply NOW!!!

I do not have an IELTS score which it needs

Does anyone know if I can get an IELTS score in 5 days? Because after APRIL 17, they won't accept my application unless I get transcript/completion letter from university in May.

Also, can I travel back to my home country while PNP is in process???
