as far as i checked this stats has not changed since 2008 that much and youth unemployment and new immigrants unemployment are always 2 or 3 times higher than national average.hence ,you never being told about the "job positions" being filled by immigrants which is mostly out of scope of their expertise ,mostly hard labor ,or jobs much far away from their field although close to their field ,and lower payment than that of canadian born.most canadian born unless highly disqualified for the job are doing the business that they want.

another point is about market shortage which never would be filled ,i was reading article from 2000(i cannot find it)saying same thing.my friend knew about migrants international experience and degree was not accepted since he remembers during 1980s that canada gained independence
canadian job market shortage which would never be filled,at least for 2 decades never happened and it would not till 2030.the intake of immigrants from skilled category barely fill the position they were accepted for
