Canada Re-enter question

Hi Guys, Currently, I have work permit valid till 30-March-2017.

I have applied for a new work permit from inside Canada. Once approved, my understanding is the new permit will be posted to my Canada address and I will have to get my passport stamped from within Canada.

However, I will be traveling to my home country next month and would return to Canada by 15-Mar-2017.

If by the time, my new work permit is processed, will I need to re-enter Canada based on my new or old permit?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest to get work permit first and apply for TRV AS WELL then come to India if you get your new work permit then you can apply TRV FROM INDIA EASILY
