Canada PR visa becoming invalid on passport renewal

HI DEAR FRIENDS. MY CANADIAN PR VISA AND PASSPORT BOTH ARE EXPIRING ON 1ST APRIL 2015. I AM TRVELLING TO CANADA ON 5TH FEB, 2015 WITH 3 HOURS STAY IN DOHA AND LONDON. I HAVE GOT THE TICKETS OF QATAR AND AMERICAN AIRLINES. DONT KNOW THERE WILL BE ANY PROBLEM BY HE AIRLINES AS PASSPORTS VERY NEAR TO EXPIRE

@JIMI 2: Why not try call the airline, tell them about your situation and see if they will consider it and allow you to travel?

The airlines I called said that passport needs to be valid for 6 months. However if you go to star alliance site http://www.staralliance.com/en/services/visa-and-health/ and input your information it gives the details whether Canada requires the passport to be valid for 6 months or not. It also gives information on whether the connecting destinations require you to have a transit visa.

Once you have this data printed out, and you feel everything is in order just go to your travel agent or airline booking office and talk to them.

You have one more option Jimi2. Renew the passport and send it for stamping the new PR single entry visa. I checked with the CIC call centre.

i have got ticket from PIA. they dont have this 6 months rule
