Hi,

I received my ITA a month back. CRS 463. I've learnt that once I receive my visa I have only till a year from my meds. Hence the later I do my meds the better it seems. So I'd like to know when is the latest I can gets my meds done?

Could some on shed light on this?

Thanks!

you need to get medicals done before submitting your application. there are panel of physician that cic recommends from each country ,visit them and get your medicals done and upload the e document .

Thanks DelPiero for consistently helping with my queries. +1.

Thanks Ramu, +1.

That was my understanding, but I see many in this forum where it seems as if the meds were done post the submission of eAPR. Or is there another round of meds that happens later? In several cases I've seen the 'meds done' date to be after AOR date. Could you explain this please?

Thanks!

i think its mistaken for medicals passed after application substitution,so it is compulsory to have medicals before submitting the application, if they require further medical they will ask for it.

I am looking into getting my medicals done as well, and was wondering what "proof"/"paperwork" i would need to complete the application process? I go do my medicals at a clinic....then what... do i get the results from the doc and upload that or do i get a receipt from the doc and upload that?

Cheers

The panel doctor himself submitted your report to IRCC and he will give you a e medical information sheet which you need to upload.
Good Luck

Not directly but indirectly related - would just like to share my experience. Yes, meds have to be done upfront. I did them at the end of Sep, and AOR on Oct 18. Since one result was not good, I had to redo the test until it was satisfying. Long story short, my doctor uploaded the pending test on Dec 9, when I passed medicals. My CoPR says that it is valid until Dec 9 2017.
The point is - it seems that 1 year starts ticking after CIC approves medicals, not since the day you actually did the test.

guys,

So, lets say i pass the medicals & obtain my PR. What if i decide to travel in a later date which exceeds the 1 year medicals limit? would cic requests us to take up one more medicals?

Couple more questions if you wish to help out.If i have applied the PR application for my wife, daughter & self is it mandatory for all three of us to travel canada at the same time? or can i just travel first, look out for settlement & then bring my wife & daughter?

Do we have a definitive limit which requests us to travel within the time frame to canada after obtaining the PR?

once you get approved PR you would be asked to submit your passport and also of the dependents.Once you have that, you will be given 30-60 day to have all the people on the application to cross into canada. You wouldn't be asked to take any additional medicals.
