Can I upgrade my EE application after I've submitted (IELTS)

Hi All,

According to the few EE calculations I've done I can get enough points to be selected even if my wife doesn't do the IELTS at all or if I do slightly worse than I expect in my IELTS.

So the question is can I apply with my details and by saying my wife has 0 IELTS marks and then if the score isn't as good as I need can I then get her to do the IELTS and then basically add it to the application and upgrade the score or do I need to redo the application?

Any costs associated with either option?

Score was 431 I think but right now I'm just doing all the investigation properly.

The IELTS is very expensive AND my wife is not great at testing. She's a natural born English speaker and will pass easily but I'm just wondering if I can avoid putting that pressure on her.

And at the same time if I get a band 7 or something could I then decide to redo the test and upgrade my to band 8 or 9 if I get that?

If you get a CLB 9 or CLB 10, you will get maximum points.

You can go ahead with your plan. Later you can add your wife's IELTS if required. No need to redo the application. Just update her score.
